Bundesagentur für Arbeit – permission to work in Germany, and interns are obliged to have it in order for their engagement at any organization to be legal. It is upon the institution / company where you will be engaging as an intern or trainee to obtain it for you.

Deputation / no-objection letter from your local employer or university you are studying at which confirms that the applicant is an employee / student at their organization

Approval letter from German company / institution confirming conditions of applicant’s stay in Germany, including payment

Proof of qualification (diploma, academic degree certificate or mark sheets)

You must obtain Bundesagentur für Arbeit – which is a permission to work in Germany(depends on your organization)

A valid passport (issued in the past 10 years and valid for at least 12 months after your scheduled return) with a copy of the data page

3 passport pictures based on biometric specifications

A cover letter where you explain the objective of your visit, how you plan to find employment, and your alternative career plans if you cannot find a job

Diploma of your degree (or any other proof of academic qualification from a German or non-German university) as well as any certificates of previous work experience

Proof of financial means to cover the costs for the time of your stay in Germany by showing one of the following documents: Verpflichtungserklärung (formal obligation letter) by a sponsor living in Germany, Bank account statement, or Blocked bank account.

Proof of personal status in your home country, such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, and others (translated in English), as applicable

The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Master’s Degree from a German university or an equivalent foreign degree

The applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in your related field of study

The applicant must show proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your stay during the time you are in Germany

The applicant must have travel or medical insurance for your entire stay in Germany or until you get your Work Permit

Visa application form, completed and signed

Copies of valid passport (like the bio page, past visas, etc)

A copy of return flight ticket or proof of sufficient funds to buy one.

Copies of proof of sufficient funds (at least Euro 2,000.00) e.g bank statement etc

Applicant must be be in possession of a valid passport 

Applicant must intend primarily to holiday in Germany

Applicant must be aged between 18 and 30 years inclusive at the time of application for the Working Holiday Visa

Applicant must not be be accompanied by dependent family members.

Applicant must have return airline ticket with confirmed reservation or enough funds to buy one 

Applicant must have comprehensive health insurance in Germany

Applicant must have sufficient funds (at least Euro 2,000.00) to cover initial stay period in Germany.
