If you plan to be self employed in Nicaragua, You may apply for Self Employed Visa .

Application procedure:

Step 1: You must go to the General Directorate of Immigration and Immigration to purchase the Migration Procedure Form, which has a cost of C $ 50.00

Step 2: Submit to the information officer in Immigration, full form accompanied by the requirements of the procedure and shift to be attended by the window officer

Step 3: Wait to be called by the window officer to receive all the requirements

Step 4: Wait to be notified by the DGME about the authorization of the residence, once notified you must cancel the corresponding fee and take the photograph for the identity document

Which documents do I need to apply for the Self-Employed Visa?

16 Document Required

  • Application Form
  • Residence application letter, addressed to the General Directorate of Migration and Immigration
  • Original in good condition and photocopy of the passport (validity no less than six months)
  • Two passport size photographs (4½ high by 3 ½ wide), white background, without glasses, hat, cap, ears and open front
  • Birth or Naturalization Certificate, issued by the competent authority of your country of origin, duly apostilled or authenticated as the case may be
  • Criminal Record Certificate, issued by the competent authority of the country of origin or residence of the last three years, apostilled or duly authenticated by the Consulate of Nicaragua, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of its country of origin, and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nicaragua. Children under 18 years of age are exempt from this requirement
  • Health certificate, issued by the competent authority of your country of origin or previous residence, apostilled or authenticated, or of the Nicaraguan health authoritie
  • Letter requesting residency in the sub category of independent worker, addressed to the General Directorate of Immigration and Immigration, specifying the business to be established and the service to be provided
  • Merchant's declaration registered in the Mercantile Register, specifying the activity or service to be carried out (authenticated copy)
  • Photocopy of Commercial Registration of the Mayor's Office
  • Photocopy of inscription in the General Direction of Income, RUC
  • Notarized statement of income sources
  • Electronic Solvency of the General Directorate of Revenue (copy)
  • State Supplier Certificate, (this is applicable to Independent Consultants)
  • Present two proformas of the value of the return ticket to your country, from two different airlines, which will be deposited in the General Directorate of Migration and Immigration
  • Exceptionally, additional documentation may be requested. (Article 63, numeral 7 of the Regulation to Law 761, General Migration and Aliens Act)
