Before we can invite you to apply, we’ll first need you to send us an Expression of Interest (EOI) telling us about your employment in New Zealand, work experience, and qualifications. If your Expression of Interest is successful we’ll offer you the opportunity to apply to live and work in New Zealand indefinitely.

What are eligibility requirements for the Skilled Migrant Resident Visa?

7 Eligibility Requirements

  • You must have valid passport
  • You must be of good character and health
  • You must provide acceptable language test results like IELTS
  • You must be of 55 years or below
  • You need to be of specialist, technical or management expertise and relevant qualifications and/or work experience to do, and which meets a minimum pay threshold
  • Your qualification should be eligible for points calculation
  • You must send Expression of Interest and get the invitation to apply in order to proceed with the application

  • Two passport size photos
  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Police clearance certificates
  • Chest x-ray and medical examination results
  • Acceptable English language test results. Check the link for more information
  • Employment contract
  • Educational qualification proof. Check the link for detailed information.
  • A report from the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) confirming any qualification that isn’t on our list of recognised or exempt qualifications
  • References, payslips, tax records or contracts that confirm your work experience
  • Additional documents may be required on case basis
